With the PowerSpin™ HXV Series benchtop centrifuges, Unico offers a wide range of economical, reliable and super quiet centrifuges available with horizontal or 12-place fixed angle rotors. In addition, the horizontal rotor provides a clean, complete separation of cellular components, producing a superior serum or plasma specimen. A horizontal rotor is used for spinning serum separator tubes (SSTs) because the rotor creates a tight uniform horizontal seal, reducing the risk of red cell leakage and the possibility of specimen degradation. It is of particular importance when the specimen is sent out to be tested. As a result of the PowerSpinTM HXV's electronically controlled safety lock, the lid cannot be opened while the rotor is in use. With the aid of a digital timer and LCD display, the user is able to control the spinning cycle to the tiniest detail. It has a brushless motor that is maintenance free so you can use it for years to come without worrying about it. Cleanliness and ease of maintenance are two of the benefits of stainless steel guard bowls. PowerSpinTM HXV is equipped with a Zero RPM safety lock, so the lid can not be opened while the rotor is in motion. There is an LCD display attached to the digital timer that allows the user to control the spin cycle in a very precise manner.
