When purchasing a microhematocrit centrifuge it is imperative the unit is capable of reaching maximum speed within 30 seconds and it must sustain an 10,000 x 15,000 x G for five minutes without exceeding a temperature of 45 degrees C. The C-MH30 meets and exceeds these requirements. Made of formed metal and baked paint application the centrifuge is acid and reagent resistant. A safety switch is built into the handle assembly that disconnects the power to the motor whenever the latch is lifted. It has a twenty-four place rotor with a replaceable rubber ring and screw down metal lid. The nominal speed is 12,000 RPM. The built-in dependable mechanical timer shuts the machine off up to 5-minutes with a bell signal at end of the run. Other features include an air-cooled, brush type AC motor, an all metal housing offers years of dependable use and the electric motor braking is useful in slowing the cycle quickly when needed. An indicator light tells when the unit is in use.
